Private Fees   

The majority of our patients prefer to spread the cost of their dental treatment by joining Denplan (our monthly payment plan).   The remainder pay for their treatment on a ‘fee per item’ basis i.e. pay as they go.

If you are a member of a dental insurance plan (other than Denplan) you may be able to claim all, or a percentage, of these fees back.

At your dental examination you will be given an itemised treatment plan detailing the recommended treatment and associated charges. Please come prepared to pay for treatment at each visit. We are happy to accept cash, cheques and all major debit/credit cards (excluding American Express).  Extensive treatment can be paid for in instalments, please discuss this with your dentist.

DENPLAN

Most of our patients choose to pay for their treatment through a monthly dental payment plan arranged for them by Denplan, the UK’s leading dental payment plan specialist.

It helps patients budget for their routine dental care and treatment by making regular monthly payments. At Market Weighton Dental Practice, we offer three Denplan products:

  • Denplan Care;
  • Denplan Essentials;
  • Denplan Plans for Children;

Patients registered with Denplan including supplementary insurance at Market Weighton Dental Practice also benefit from the following:

  • Free access to our emergency out-of-hours service should you suffer a dental emergency (such as dental trauma or toothache) outside our normal surgery hours;
  • Worldwide dental injury and dental emergency cover with access to Denplan’s 24-hour Worldwide Dental Emergency Helpline;
  • Family discounts;
  • Oral cancer cover.

Denplan Care

The Denplan Care band is based on a risk-based assessment of your teeth and gums.

 

This payment plan provides for the majority of dental treatment to maintain your dental health. A dental assessment is made so that the monthly fee you pay is dependent on the “health” of your mouth. It includes the following treatment, when clinically necessary and carried out at the practice by your registered dentist:

  • Dental check-ups
  • Hygiene appointments
  • Dental x-rays
  • Preventative dental advice and therapy
  • Fillings & Root Canal Treatment
  • Extractions
  • Periodontal (gum) treatment
  • Crowns, bridges, dentures, inlays (excluding laboratory fees)
  • If you opt for supplementary insurance arranged by Denplan, this provides you with worldwide dental injury and dental emergency cover with access to Denplan’s 24-hour Worldwide Dental Emergency Helpline
  • Denplan supplementary insurance also gives you free access to our emergency out of hours service should you suffer a dental emergency (such as dental trauma or toothache) outside our normal surgery hours.

You are not covered for Specialist referrals.

Denplan Essentials

This payment plan provides for your routine preventative dental care and then you pay for restorative treatment as you need it. It is easy to set up and no pre-assessment is necessary. Denplan Essentials includes:

  • Dental check-ups
  • Hygiene appointments
  • Dental x-rays
  • Preventative dental advice
  • 10% off any private treatment needed
  • If you opt for supplementary insurance arranged by Denplan, this provides you with worldwide dental injury and dental emergency cover with access to Denplan’s 24-hour Worldwide Dental Emergency Helpline.
  • Denplan supplementary insurance also gives you free access to our emergency out of hours service should you suffer a dental emergency (such as dental trauma or toothache) outside our normal surgery hours.

Denplan for Children

Working under Denplan allows us to dedicate more time to our younger patients, and focus our efforts on preventative dental care; for example, applying protective fissure sealants to teeth to reduce the risk of decay, coating teeth with fluoride gels where necessary and providing preventative advice.

Registration with Denplan for Children at Market Weighton Dental Practice, costs from as little as £6.40 per month (including supplementary insurance) and has a number of additional benefits. As well as covering the cost of your child’s routine examinations and treatment, if you opt for supplementary insurance your child will also be entitled to:

  • Free access to our emergency out of hours “on-call dentist” should your child suffer dental trauma or toothache outside normal surgery hours.
  • Supplementary trauma insurance to cover the cost of treatment following a dental injury.
  • Emergency dental treatment when away from your own dentist both in the UK and abroad.

All of the plans include worldwide dental injury and dental emergency cover (Denplan Supplementary Insurance) as well as access to Denplan’s 24-Hour Worldwide Dental Emergency Helpline.
